Application Of Geosteering Technology On Horizontal Well In JingBian Gas Field

Direct at the character that "low permeability,low productivity,low abundance" of JingBian Gas field,to increase production of individual well,increase economic efficiency,advance stable production long-term and high-efficient development,it is necessary that pushing forward development and production of horizontal well actively,while the geosteering plays a vital role on successful implement of horizontal well.In this paper,study was started from basic geological features of carbonate gas reservoir in JingBian gas field,based on reservoir geology,through selection of marker bed,division and contrast of layer,feature analysis of reservoir structure and reservoir parameter,JingBian gas field layer was evaluated comprehensively,which provided basical geological ensuring for adaptability analysis of horizontal well and geosteering.Based on the geological research,firstly,the geological conditions of adaptation for development of horizontal well was judged; secondly,the role of logging on geosteering of horizontal well in JingBian gas field was studied, aimed at low relief structure, thin target zone and hard to identify,also,it is hard to control out of layer and lag of MWD,effective way for process of geosteering was proposed. Finally,the four stages of geosteering work was concluded, they are Shaft of geosteering, vernier regulation before into target,Horizontal wells into the target and geosteering on horizontal section,seven-step process that "Prediction-verification-Fixed-Judgement-Validation-confirmation-Tracking"was formed.The paper took JingPing××as example, the application of geosteering in JingBian gas field was introduced briefly.
