Rock physics originated from early research on the physical properties of rockphysics, which is a new discipline that traditional rock physics and explorationseismology cross constitute. Its main measures are rock samples tested, the testmethod in the laboratory analysis, and the results obtained for the understanding ofthe physical properties of rocks under different conditions, for reservoir prediction, oiland gas recognition to provide a theoretical basis. Carbonate rock distribution area isonly20%of the total area of the Earth’s sedimentary rocks, but the potential oil andgas reserves accounted for more than50percent of the world’s total oil and gas reserves, ofwhich90percent of the world oil and gas reserves are found marine strata, which is aimportant exploration targets to increase oil and gas proved reserves.Based on the importance of carbonate rocks, carbonate rocks as the main objectof study, on the basis of petrophysical testing, combined with the actual data of theTaHe area, we have some results and important understanding.First of all, the source of the data-Tahe area carbonate rock samples, MTS rockphysical parameters of the test system control system theory, structure, function andacoustic parameters of the measurement method is explained.Secondly, the rock kind of physical test data as the main object of study, theserocks sample data according to the different lithology in the strata in situ and normaltemperature and pressure, two conditions for statistical classification. Strata in situconditions is divided into saturated oil limestone, saturated limestone, limestone, mudmicrite, calcarenite and mudstone, argillaceous limestone in the normal temperatureand pressure conditions is divided into, gray micritic rock, micrite mud micrite, micritic calcarenite and water-saturated limestone.Thirdly, the classification in the formation in situ, under normal temperature and pressure conditions to explore and establish a variety of petrophysical parameters ofthe mathematical model, including the relationship between the rock-like longitudinaland shear wave velocity, the relationship between the longitudinal wave speed anddensity, longitudinal wavethe relationship between velocity and porosity, and then theresults obtained with Castagna empirical formula is compared and discussed.Conclude that a large number of research and analysis of experimental data in theregion, the general formula for the region on the longitudinal and shear wave velocity. Finally, pick out a few rock samples, such rock data for fluid replacement, simulated gas saturation, water-saturated, saturated oil and then fitting, and comparedwith the the Castagna polynomial empirical formula. Conclude that the generalformula for fluid replacement after rock data fitting analysis, to verify theapplicability and reliability of the general formula, in order to provide a moreadequate theoretical basis for the change of elastic parameters of the petrophysicaltesting.
