This article through many analysis means such as the field profiles of measured,outcrop observation, lithology description and sampling for the field outcrops and soon, combining indoor microscopic observation, cathode luminescence researchmethods, in the support of carbonate sedimentology,paleontology and diagenesis andrelated theory, we have been system researched petrology characteristics, sedimentaryfacies and diagenesis of carbonate rocks in Feixianguan Formation of Triassic,Libixiaprofile of Chongqing.Petrology is the basic research area of carbonate rock, and also is the mosteffective method for solving various problems of carbonate research field. The mainrock of Feixianguan Formation of the interesting area is carbonate rock, and containfew clastic rock. The carbonate rock types include microcrystalline limestone, laminaralgal limestone, oolitic limestone, biomicrite, bioclastic limestone and so on, theclastic rock types include siltstone and mudstone. Through the microscopicobservation and cathode luminescence, we have been expounding the characteristic ofall kinds of rock. Based on previous studies with the field phenomenon, petrologycharacteristic and paleontology characteristic, we have been analysised thesedimentary environment and divided sedimentary subfacies.The main diageneses of the carbonate rock of the interesting area include:micritization, cementation, compaction and pressure solution, recrystallization,dissolution, pyritization and silication. According to some special rock fabric anddiagenesis characteristic, we have divided diagenetic environment of the FeixianguanFormation: infraneritic environment, fresh water phreatic environment, shallow buriedenvironment and middle-deep buried environment, and discussed diageneticevolutionary series of sediments in bank and non-bank.
