In this paper, Xichang Lizixiang landslide as the object of study, the first detailed investigation in Xichang Township landslide geological environmental conditions, based on a variety of research tools, analysis of landslides identified the nature, scope, location and morphological characteristics of the sliding surface; Second, in-depth analysis of the basic characteristics of landslide, deformation, developmental history, based on the study of the formation mechanism and influencing factors; by in situ tests, laboratory experiments and engineering analogy, analysis the physical and mechanical parameters of slip zone, and can be used as the rock foundation of retaining structures, soil physical and mechanical parameters, while for the semi-regional Xigeda diagenetic formation parameters selected for the study; Finally, according to selected parameters of the calculation a reasonable stability of the landslide, failure mechanism analysis demonstrated instability mode, trends and the likely scale landslides, retaining structures to provide proposals, program recommendations highlighted in the relevance and usefulness of the principle of saving the project investment cost. The main results and conclusion can be expressed as follows:(1) identified through exploration Xichang Lizixiang the size of the landslide, the volume, the basic characteristics of landslide deformation.(2) through on-site sampling for laboratory testing, combined with comprehensive engineering analogy method to determine the physical and mechanical properties of landslide, won the slip with the physical and mechanical parameters (c,φ).(3) landslides in the "weight+groundwater" working conditions in a stable state; in the "weight+groundwater+storm" conditions are less stable; in the "weight++seismic groundwater "conditions in a stable state.(4) made by studying the ratio of two election programs, and through analysis to determine the recommended program.
