High-speed movement of the rolling stones is extremely detrimental to the safetyof the infrastructure,human activities and underway construction projects etc.which iswithin their sphere of influence. With the increasing of negative impact of humanengineering activities on the natural environment, the frequency and intensity of therolling stones will be increasingly large, especially in the mountain valleys, high andsteep slope, rock crushing and structural development in the mountains of westernChina where the rolling stones hazards is particularly strong. With the rapid develop-pment of China’s economic construction and the western development gradual deep-ening, a lot of energy engineering, line engineering, and tourism resources,urbanconstruction were completed or being put into the building in the mountain. Constr-uction and operational period of these projects will face problem how to preventrolling stones disasters. In this context, the scientific research of the developpmentalmechanism of the rolling stones, kinematics of the rolling stones, dynamics of therolling stones is not only necessary, but also urgent.In order to effective prevent therolling stones hazard, it need to quantitatively calculate the motion path, and thecoefficient of restitution is an important parameter to determine the motion path.To the rolling stones geological disasters typical example of Longdong tunnel,under the premise of engineering geological conditions of the full instance, analysethe movement characteristics of the rolling stones and calculate the motion. Based onthis, this article propose the general path analysis and theoretical models of the rollingstones. In order to get the key coefficient of restitution of rolling motion analysis, thefirst is to derive theoretical formula from the theoretical model,then do the regressionanalysis by orthogonal combined with numerical software. Through these steps itcould correct the theoretical model and get the theoretical empirical formulas of the coefficient of restitution Rolling stones movement on slope.the main resultsachievedby research are as follows:(1) According to the scene investigation of the slope, the impact reconstructionof the slope, and dragging scratches,mastery of the slope topography,it can calculatethe motion path of the Rolling stones (see Figure7). Take the method of calculation ofthe coefficient of restitution to calculate the velocity in the course of the campaign inRolling Stone.(2) From the survey and analysis of the typical examples, summarized Take thestate of motion Take the Take the Rolling stones slope can be divided into three kinds:The first one is initial stages of exercise, mainly for the fall or oblique throwing; Thesecond movement is a common way of collision bouncing, where is most common inthe steep slope; The third type is rolling motion, most in the gentler slopesslope orvegetation development slope. The movement of the rolling stones, no matter howcomplex, how the uncertainty of the movement path, the mode of movement aremainly the three kinds.(3) From the analysis of typical examples and the rolling stone path, this paperput forward the new calculation model of rolling stones movement path on slope.Themodel requires critical coefficient of restitution of slope movement. The model cancalculate the entire Rolling stones movement process on the slope accuratly andcompletly, rigorous derivation of a clear law.The calculation are derived strictly andclear discipline.(4) The coefficient of restitution of rock movement on slope is defined from theperspective of the energy, and theoretical formula of restitution coefficient t is derivedon this basis.(5) Based on orthogonal, it have got test data, made analysis and processing, andfound the main factors of the coefficient of restitution And then The coefficient ofrestitution of theory of empirical formula can be got by regression analysis. It couldprovidereference for analysis calculation of the state of motion about the rollingprocess of the rolling stones.(6) Combined with the case of the actual rolling stones geological disasterscalculate it with the experimental results. Then verify that the coefficient of restitutionformula of the slope are rationality and availability.And it can provide calculationmethods and feasible basis for evaluation and treatment after the engineering practicewhere rolling stone hazards happens.
