Loess has an obvious regionalism, they have quite different physical property amongdifferent areas. With the implement of China Western Development, our country has alreadyturned its eyes to the west of the country. As an economic center in Shaan xi province, it issignificant to research the loess in Guanzhong area. Therefore, the author took the loesslandslide at Fenghuotai which is located at Liquan country in Shaanxi province as a typicalsample to research the mechanical property and rheological properties of Q2loess. The mainconclusions are as below:(1)According to the triaxial sheer test in different water content and confining pressuresof Q2loess, the author got the regular pattern of the characteristics of loess stress and strainand peak strength with different water content and confining pressures. On the basis oftriaxial sheer text, arriving at the conclusion of the regular pattern of Q2loess mechanicalparameters as c、tanφ with different water content and confining pressures.in the area. Thethesis also sorts a great quantity samples of deformation and failure pictures; studies thefeatures and regular pattern of distortion and destruction of Q2loess; and summarizes themolds of distortion and destruction.(2) According to the triaxial creep test to Q2loess in Guanzhong area. Drawing thetriaxial creep test curve and triaxial creep stress and strain curve, summarized the typicalfeatures of loess, analyzed the regular pattern and the effection of creep features in differentwater content and confining pressures. In addition, Compare the regular pattern of watercontent and creep damage stress of triaxial sheer test and triaxial creep test with the sameconfining pressures, Analysis and research in differences between structural strength oftriaxial sheer test and creep damage stress of triaxial creep test.(3)With analysis and arranging the results and curves of triaxial creep test, using amathematical method to build the empirical model formula and determine the correlationcoefficient of creep empirical model of loess in Guanzhong area. Meanwhile, foundingSingh-Mitchell creep model and Mesri creep model which are typical empirical models usedfor describing loess creep characteristics and comparing the accuracy of these models.Besides, taking five elements generalized Kelvin unit model to research the creep constitutive model of Q2loess. Through the creep test curve fitting; determining the correlationcoefficient of the formula to establish the creep constitutive model formula and studying theregular patterns of parameters with the change of stress.
