Complex dynamical network can be seen everywhere, from nature,biological system to human society. Synchronization is an importantresearch direction of complex dynamical network and has been receivingmore and more attentions. However, the network would probably changes itstopology influenced by some uncertain factors and thus destroys thesynchronization. So it has a great significance to research the switchednetwork.This paper investigates the synchronization of the complex dynamicalswitching networks(CDSNs) based on the average dwell time scheme. It isdivided into two parts. The first part analyzes the synchronization controlproblem of continuous complex dynamical switching network, the secondpart analyzes the synchronization control problem of discrete complexdynamical switching network. Each part consists of three aspects, which areCDSNs with hybrid delays in the node systems, CDSNs with coupled delaysamong nodes and CDSNs with nonlinear coupled nodes, respectively.According to each kind of CDSN, sufficient conditions to make the CDSNachieve globally exponentially synchronization by controlling the activation time of synchronized subnetworks and desynchronized subnetworks aregiven.Finally, the result of the whole paper is summarized and furtherresearch problems are pointed out.
