About10%of the world’s population lives in low elevational coastal regions, sea level rising will bring a great challenge to the people there. Satellite altimeter can accurately determine the total sea level change, while taking advantage of GRACE time-varying gravity data can get the sea level change caused by the quality of sea water change, the difference between the two is the steric sea level change. We can also get the steric sea level change by making use of temperature and salinity data from Argo measurement.In this paper, satellite altimetry, GRACE satellite gravity and Argo data are jointly used to get the global sea level change, the main work and achievements are as follows:Get the change of sea level by using of the sea surface height anomaly data provided by AVISO. Detailed introduces the calculation method of steric sea level change by using Argo data, and compares it with the result from WOA05data. Summarizes the basic theories and algorithms of calculating the quality of sea water change by use of the GRACE time-varying gravity data, and compares the sea level change of this paper with the result from Chambers, they are consistent with each other. Comparison the steric sea level change from the combined satellite altimeter and GRACE to that from Argo data in detail, and the result show that the steric sea level change from the two method consistent with each other well.This paper gives the result of the total long-term trend of sea level change from2004.01to2010.12is2.52mm/a, the long-term trend of sea level change caused by the change of quality of sea water is1.84mm/a, which contributes about73%of the total sea level change; the long-term trend of steric sea level change is0.63mm/a. The results show that the rising rate of sea-level in recent as is shortly slowly down compared with the rising rate from1993to2003provide by IPCC. The steric sea level change contributes less to the total sea level change, and the quality change of sea water become the main reason for the change of sea level.
