Debris flows has become one of the worst geological disasters in China, which seriouslyinfluenced the economic development in mountainous area. Debris flows has great danger tothe human life and wealth security, so people are becoming more conscious on research onDebris flows disaster. Regional debris flow hazard assessment is a comprehensive evaluationof the likelihood of debris flows within the region for debris flow disaster prevention projectsfor the management of great significance. This article establishment the debris flow hazardassessment system based on GIS, By the method of analysis of regional debris flow risk,combined with ArcEngine and C#language, By the method of analysis of regional debrisflow risk, combined with ArcEngine and C#language, and JunDu mountain debris flow riskassessment are evaluated as the experimental area.In this study, the regional debris flow risk assessment methods, combined with a GIScomponent development technology include the following aspects:First, a comprehensive summary of the course of development and research status of theregional debris flow risk assessment methods, described the characteristics and future trendsof the regional debris flow risk assessment study. On existing commonly used in severalregional debris flow risk assessment model, and its advantages and shortcomings compared.Then, based on the C#language and ArcEngine component design and the establishment ofGIS-based regional debris flow risk assessment system, its main function, and finishingworkflow, and integration of the three evaluation models. Finally, to the north of BeijingJunDu mountain as the experimental area, the regional debris flow risk assessment study,JunDu mountain of debris flow hazard assessment of thematic maps, and verify the usefulnessand credibility of the regional debris flow risk assessment system.Through the establishment of GIS-based debris flow risk assessment system for China’sregional debris flow risk assessment provides a concise and effective research tools, cangreatly improve the efficiency of the debris flow hazard evaluation of GIS-based automatedprocessing, shorten the occurrence of debris flows response time has an important role in theimplementation of the debris flow disaster prevention projects and regional planning inmountainous areas.In addition, it pointed out the lack of regional debris flow risk assessment method basedon GIS and the future direction of development.
