Daxinganling metallogenic belt is one of the16important metallogenic belts inChina. The Huzhong-Tayuan area, located in the north part of the Daxinganlingmetallogenic belt and the intersection between Erguna massif and Early PalaeozoicDaxinganling epicontinental accretional belt, is an important constituent of this belt.Geological structure is complex in this area, sedimentation and magmatism werewidespread. Lead, zinc, silver, gold, molybdenum, and copper mineral resources are veryrich, and there are mainly three deposit types including skarn type, porphyry type andepithermal hydrothermal type. The ore-bearing strata of the Huzhong-Tayuan area are mainly composed ofPaleoproterozoic Xinhuadukou Group, Neoproterozoic-lower Cambrian Wolegen Group,Mesozoic upper Jurassic Baiyingaolao Formation, lower Cretaceous Tamulangou,Guanghua and Longjiang Formations, Xinhuadukou and Wolegen Groups are the mainore source and ore bed, while Late Jurassic-Early Cretaceous volcano-sedimentary rocksare the main ore-hosted strata. Most lead-zinc polymetallic o polymetallic ore spots inthis area are related to the Late Jurassic-Early Cretaceous volcanic strata.Magma intrusion activities in the study area can be divided into five periods: theJinning, Caledonian, Variscan, Indosinian and Yanshanian periods. Mesoproterozoicultrabasic rocks are related to Cr, Co, Ni minerals; Caledonian Metamorphic gabbro andsubsequent veined granite intrusions formed contact metasomatic copper mineralization;Middle-late Variscan intrusive rocks are closely related to gold, silver multi-metalmineralization; Indosinian alkaline granite stocks are closely related to mineralization ofgold and copper; intrusive rocks in late Yanshanian are related to gold and nonferrousmetals mineralization, mineralization distributed along the inner and outer contact zoneof the alkali feldspar granite, granodiorite and granite porphyry. Late Yanshanian magmatic activities control gold-dominated multi-metal mineralization in this area. The structures that control the region lead-zinc polymetallic mineralizationconcentration area consist mainly of subduction zone, island arc, back-arc basin, orogenic belt, continental margin magmatic belt which are in NE-trending and developed, evolved, formed in different periods, and NE-, NW-, EW-trending fault belts. Lineamentstructures, circular structures, radial structure, en echelon structure, magmatic contactbelt tectonic, volcanic agencies and combo-like structure are well developed in the studyarea. The NE-trending Tayuan-Huma large fracture pass through the study area, accompanied by the NE-, NW-, as well as NS-trending faults. NE-and NW-trendingfaults control the Cretaceous volcano-sedimentary basin; NE-, NNE-, NW-trending faultscontrol the formation of endogenous Au, Cu, Pb, Zn, Mo, Ag polymetallic mineral. The metallogenic series of endogenic metallic ore deposits in Huzhong-Tayuan areacan be divided into two series:(1) Magma hypabyssal intrusive metallogenic series. It islocated in the west and east of Daxinganling, including magmatic intrusion-relatedporphyry type deposit, skarn type deposit, epithermal hydrothermal type deposit such asXijinuo lead-zinc-copper deposit, Duobaoshan copper molybdenum porphyry typedeposit and Bairendaba lead-zinc deposit.(2) volcanic-subvolcanic hydrothermalsolution metallogenic series. They are distributed in the volcanic activity zone ofMesozoic plate margin, including hydrothermal vein type deposit, epithermal lowtemperature hydrothermal type deposit and epithermal hidden explosive breccia andhydrothermal deposit, e.g., Bishui lead-zinc-silver deposit.
