The discharging process are common in engineering problems. The direct discharging process and rotary discharging process are common discharging mode. The previous study mostly on the basis of experiments, considering how to optimize the design of the mechanical components, instead of combining particle material and mechanical components. From the particle material of view, the discrete element method was used in this paper to simulation of the discharge process, the main work is as follows:Firstly, based on the discrete element method, the discrete element model of silos was built by the discrete element simulation software, which the discharging process is simulated. Focus on the analysis of particle material flow and interaction, the complex internal contact forces, flow fields and the lateral pressure of silo wall during discharging materials was studied. It considered that the PFC simulation is feasible. Some conclusions which theory result and the lab test cannot resolve are given out. By the DEM simulation, the results of dynamic pressure consistent with theoretical results and the change tendency of the dynamic lateral pressure and the scope of overpressure coefficient of silo was obtained. Secondly, the discrete element model of rotating machinery was built, then a single rotary mechanical discharging process is simulated, focusing on the analysis of hopper in90°rotation in the process of the particle material flow and interaction, and studied some complicated velocity field, the internal force field and lateral pressure of hopper. In addition, through change of the rotation speed of the rotating machinery, the speed of the particles of rotating machinery of material motion state influence was obtained. Finally, according to the simulation results of the before, the rotating mechanical simulation were improved and perfected, mainly analyzes the hopper to the bottom of the particles, the influence of material flow state and the stress condition.
