The notrh block of Baima in Xifeng oilfield is located in the intersection region of theTianhuang downwarp and Shangbei slope with simple structure and shape. It is a monoclinetrending in the west and develops a seires of nose-like structure. The study on the distributionof sedimentary system and reservoir characteirstics shows it is a low-porosity andlow-permeabiiity lithologic hydrocarbon reservoir with strong heterogeneity in chang-8.Through the research on petrologic features, propetry characteristics, pore types and porestructure among lithology, it is thought that the lithology of the Chang-8Age of study areaformation is mainly lithic arkose sandstone, and the second is arkose lithic sandstone. Besides,the granularity is much closer to coarse, medium and fine sandstones dominate, and thegradation is mid-good. The main porosity of the reservoir is8-12%while permeability is0.2-1xlO"32nm, indicating that the reservoirs is totally of low porosity and permeability andifne pore throat, intergranular pore and feldspar Sink hole are the dominating pore types in thisarea. Based on the thin section identification and physical property analysis, it has been foundthat the reservoir of the study area is strong in diagenism, mainly including: compaction,cementation, metasomatism and dissolution. The data from drilling, logging, production andcore has proved that the research area is a fracture development block with high angle offracture and horizontal fracture, and the fracture’s main direction is notrheast and notrhwest.Through the research on reservoir characteristics with the consideration of the actualsituation of the study area, the reservoirs of the Chang-8Age of study area are classified asfour types: I、II、III、IV.On the basis of the reservoir comprehensive evaluation, the thesispredicts the available exploration block of Chang-8.
