This paper studied the theory and method of establishing Chinese crustal movementvelocity field using the GPS data of the earth’ crustal movement observation network. The fittingand euler vector methods were used to establish the whole mainland velocity field and pointsplate velocity model, comparing these methods, we got some useful conclusion. The maincontents are as follows:1. This paper researched the theory and method of the high precision GPS data processing, introduced the crustal movement observation network with the building, composition anddevelopment. This paper deeply researched the data processing theory and method using GAMITsoftware.and analyzed the method of conversion of ITRF framework.2. The velocity field model established commonly used the fitting methods and euler vectormethod. Deeply probes into several fitting methods of principle and application.3. This paper established the whole crustal movement speed field model, Respectively bymeans of fitting and euler vector of the modeling method, analyzed the various methods ofprecision and application effect, gave the mainland China30points×30points grid velocitymodel.4. This paper researched on the Chinese mainland division of the plates, established China’smainland points plate velocity model. In summarizing the predecessors’ research for mainlandChinese plate division, and on the basis of experimental data were divided into Chinese mainlandplate simplified. Based on this, the points plate velocity model were established using fitting andeuler vector method. Various methods in the accuracy of each plate were analysed. It introducedthe use of the model in the survey production.
