Based on the theory and key technologies of cloud computing, along with the problems of land use planning management and Land use planning information system, this research trys to introduce a cloud-computing-based method for high-perfomance processing of landuse planning data, and build land use planning cloud computing service model. The study also explores method of applying cloud computing into land use planning system, then establishes a cloud-computing-based application for managing land use planning information named Cloud-Based Land use Planning information system (C-LandPlan).The detailed research content is as follows:First, this paper describes the cloud computing concept and the main problem facing land-use planning management system, studies the current development situation of cloud computing, focusing on basic architectures and key technologies of different cloud computing platforms, especially the Hadoop’s basic concept and designing thoughts, shows how cloud computing helps in large data management and high performance computing, so we can know the feasibility and prospects of using cloud computing into land-use planning management system.Secondly, based on the analysis of the content and features of land use planning data, with the cloud computing distributed storage technology, the study designs storage methods of land-use planning data under a cloud computing environment, concerning data transmission and data security issues. Then, combining cloud computing, Service Oriented Architecture(SOA) with the business needs of the land-use planning, the study creates a cloud-computing web service platform for Ian-use planning, then designs land-use planning cloud service model, including service architecture, classification methods of land use cloud services, service directory organization and the service interface design. Finally, based on the research above and existing methods and systems, the study develops a prototype application, Cloud-Based Land use Planning information information system (C-LandPlan), designs the system architecture and functional modules, brings forth the content and functions of the prototype application, then carris out system data test, including data transmission speed test and transmission stability test.
