With low cost, high efficiency, geophysical techniques have been widely and successfullyapplied in solving hydrogeological problems and gradually become an indispensable meanof exploration. This study relies on an underground mining project in Tangshan, focusingon the hydrogeological problems, a variety of geophysical technology has been applicatedin the hydro-geological exploration work. In this study, geophysical logging will beapplied to identify region with rich water;Using seismic methods, F1fault and water-richcharacteristics are evaluated in mining area; Through audio magnetotelluric method, nearsurface lithology distribution and rich-water characteristics will be judged, then we can getthe following conclusions:(1) based on potential resistivity, spontaneous potential, naturalĪ³ parameter curve morphological and hydrogeological catalog, the aquifer of each drillingsection is partitioned and we deduce56aqueous portions;(2) F1fault is distributed in stripform, with obvious characteristics and poor hydraulic conductivity, But the shallow andupfaulted parts is better than deep and footwall ones, in contrast with the deep position, faults near the surface and close to the shallow aquifers can get some replenishment;(3) inthe results of audio magnetotelluric exploration, we suggest the layer with richgroundwater and complete bedrock layer. These conclusions have an important guidingeffect in solving regional hydrogeological problem, it is an important foundation forsubsequent numerical simulation of groundwater and research of contaminated migration.
