Wind-blown sand flow is a kind of typical two phase flow. In this paper, we used the two-fluid model to simulate and get some properties of the sand. The content include:First of all, we developed the two phases fundamental equations of wind-blown basing on the two-fluid model, described the basic idea of the finite volume method and explained the effects of parameters (such as grid quality, the boundary condition) in the process of numerical simulation. Then, we compute the sand flux with the height changing and the distribution of streamwise sand transport. The calculations show that when the sand flow reach the stable condition, it shows a clear hierarchy, featuring increasing, saturating and decreasing. The streamwise sand transport increase to a peak, then drops to a stabilized condition. It is consistent with the existing research results. Thus it proves the reliability of the selected model and method, which is the base of the numerical simulation of sand flow under the baffle effect. Finally, numerical simulations were performed for different wind conditions at varied heights baffle, the influences of Stream wind velocity and baffle height on the distribution rule of streamwise sand transport on the streamwise behind the baffle are given. Defines that sand breaks away from the influence of baffle and has resumed to flow naturally start position (streamwise sand transport is0) to baffle as the effective protection area (or distance, S), and we have given the law that how does the effective protection Distance varied with stream wind velocity and heights of baffle, the results reveal the change law of the sand flow structure behind baffle under different conditions, It can provide a numercial basis for the assessment and improvement of sand prevention engineering.
