The Zaoyuan region locates in the north of Cangdong depression at Bohai BayBasin. Kongdian formation is the main composite oil and gas source rock andreservoir areas,and Kongdian Zao V reservoir group is the major exploration layer.However,in practical work,this area is in low degree of exploration and theproven oil and gas resources is not highly clear. In the study of Sedimentary faciesof this region, there are also many different opinions, as the types of theSedimentary facies and the direction of its provenance.Commence this thesis topics based on the above objectives, select Zaoyuanarea of Cangdong depression as the scope of the study, to the Paleogene KongdianKong, Zao V reservoir, take the sedimentology and sequence stratigraphy,continental theoryfurther refined and systematic study of its deposition phase,sedimentary subfacies sedimentary micro equal characteristics combined with thechronostratigraphic framework, finally according to the analysis of thepetrophysical property of this area to predict the advantaged reservoir.From the researches of the regional gravity anomaly, seismic attributes, heavymineral, etheral mineral, rock debris of the Zao III reservoir group in Zaoyuanregion, Cangdong depression, find the location of entrances of the provenance,and the spread range of the different sediment. After combine with the resultsabove, the conclusion can be made that, there are five provenance entrances in thearea and the sediment mainly from the Kongdian uplift in the North, Cangxianuplift in the West and the Xuhei uplift in the East.Under the study of the geology background of this region, combine with theDrilling cores, logging, seismic and test data on the basis of the analysis phase flag,based on the characteristics of rock assemblages, sedimentary structures, profilestructure, identify the braided river deltas, alluvial fan, lakestype of depositional system, and by the laws of sandstone spreads and the features of the seismicfacices, the spread of the sedimentary facies in Kongdian Zao V reservoir group ofCangdong Seg,Zaoyuan region can be made.By analyzing the sandstone spread, characteristics of porosity,thepermeability relating to sandstone and sedimentary microfacies, and theirdistribution characeristics of the study area, the relationship between characteristicsof favorable reservior and characteristic of standstone distribution and sedimentaryfacies zone is clearly. This can provide a guidance, both in theory and practice, forexploration and development in Zaoyuan region of Dagang oilfield.
