"5.12" Wenchuan earthquake induced a large number of secondary disasters, Maoxian baibu village landslides has strong deformation after the earthquake. The landslide group not only caused great inconvenience to the residents, but also residents caused a serious threat for the safety of life and property of. Therefore, it has a very important social significance and research value to understand the deformation and failure characteristics, formation mechanisms and governance engineering measures, especially for different rainfall conditions in stability study. In this paper, on the basis of detailed investigation and research geological environmental conditions of the landslides, the author adopted site exploration and drilling projects, found out the nature of landslide, the scope, development scale and morphological characteristics. Its formation mechanism and influence factors is studied on the basis of depth analysis of the basic features, developmental history of the landslides. The stability of No.3landslide under different rainfall intensity was analyzed. The main conclusions are followed.(1)According to the structure of the landslide, the slip mass is pebbly silty clay of Quaternary ice laminate, generally20-30m thick, and the slid bed is broken slate. The three landslides have the same structural characteristics and are all medium talus slides, sliding along the base cladding interface.(2)The No.1and No.2landslide start to deform in2000, as well as No.3in1997. The three landslides are strongly affected after "5.12" Wenchuan earthquake, dramatically deforming and abundant crack tensions in the body.(3)Baibu village landslides are all soil landslide, in which No.l is medium tractive, and No.2is pull-type, No.2is deep-layer tractive. The influence factors of formation of baibu village landslide group include intrinsic factors (geological environment, topography, lithology and geotechnical structure) and external factors (rainfall, groundwater, human engineering activities, earthquakes).(4) The stability of landslide is extremely sensitive to the rainfall. The stability coefficient decreases with rainfall intensity increasing. When day rainfall reached storm intensity, the stability of the landslide drastically reduced, becoming unstable. When not the storm, the landslides are in less stable to stable state. According to the study, the rainfall intensity which induces the landslide occuring is135~175mm/d.(5) In terms of the landslide group structure and deformation characteristics, the fissure filling, drainage ditch, slide-resistant pile, relocation, comprehensive measures are proposed.
