In the paper, the research object is P I oil layers of Gaotaizi oilfield study area. Division of high-resolution sequence stratigraphy, reservoir sedimentary characteristics, reservoir distribution rule, seismic attribute analysis of the study area are mainly studied by applying the detailed cores, logs and3D seismic data of the study area, and using high-resolution sequence stratigraphy, petroleum geology, sedimentology,3D seismic interpretation, and methods and techniques of other related disciplines.Based on the guide of high-resolution sequence stratigraphy and sedimentology theory, a set of high-resolution sequence stratigraphy fine division and correlation technique has been explored by the sedimentary dynamics analysis of all levels of basal level cycle and the identification of different levels of basal level cycle interface, which is suit for river delta system. The correlation technique is that correlation of basal level cycle interface under the control of gradual marker chronohorizon. By the method, P I oil layer of Putaohua oilfield is divided into one long-term,two medium, fifteen short-term basal level cycles in the research area resulting in establishing regional, unified, fine high-resolution sequence stratigraphy framework. Through coring analysis, the research area is identified two kinds of sub-phase and six kinds of microphase. By the use of forward modeling method, study into the P I oil layer formation sand-mud interbed effect of structure on characteristics of seismic reflection. With the help of forward modeling analysis, guiding the extraction of seismic attribute, optimizing and integrating the seismic attribute, combining the well logging and seism, in order to forecast and characterize the reservoir. Based on the study lifting the Gaotaizi reservoir prediction techniques, improving reservoir characterization and prediction accuracy.
