In recent years, with the development of remote sensing technology, the short-wave infrared spectral technique was gradually introduced into the field of mineral exploration by some developed countries such as US, Canada and Australia. Short-Wave Infrared Spectral (SWIR) technique can identify the alteration minerals and their mineral associations rapidly and precisely, and it can reflect and extract the information which related with mineralization. Finally, this technique will provide some new evidences for mineral exploration. The paper was supported by Mining Development Corporation of Inner Mongolia. In this paper, we used BJKF-1 type Near-Infrared Spectral Mineral Analyzer made by Nanjing Institute of Geology to investigate and analyze the rock samples in Au anomalous zone at Zhusileng, Inner-Mongolia. We also carried out some necessary geochemical experiments to important rock samples which are indicated by the SWIR spectral analysis. We synthesized the geological documents, the results of the SWIR spectral analysis and geochemical tests. Finally, we can draw the following conclusions: 1) The SWIR spectral analysis technique is very fast, convenience, sensitive and cost-effective, it can extract the multi-element abnormal information which was bound up with golden mineralization quickly. It not only enhanced the efficiency of gathering and analyzing of samples but also reduced blindness of sampling in traditional prospecting. 2) The parameters of SWIR which includes absorption intensity of Al-OH (full width at half maximum (FWHM), absorption peak integral and spectral reflectivity) can reveal that the southeastern of study area had happened low temperature hydrothermal alteration which was controlled by NE-SW tectonic movement. 3) SWIR technique identified some kinds of alteration minerals such as gypsum, kolosorukite, alum and kaolinite, these minerals exist in southeastern area, and indicate the better mineralization conditions. 4) The results of multi-element geochemical tests confirm the conclusions come from SWIR spectral analysis. It shows obvious abnormal of Hg, As, Sb, Cu, Pb, Zn, Au, Ag in southeast of study area. This result is the believable evidence for prospecting and exploration. Above all, based on the analysis of geological documents and the traditional geological research methods, and combined the SWIR spectral analysis with other geochemical and geophysical methods; we can offer more valuable information for prospecting.
