The transmission system is an important component of the tire building machine. The key part of the transmission system is the spindle and the dynamic performance and static performance of it determine the quality of tires. This dissertation research on the spindle and establish the mechanical analysis model by the finite element software and the theory of mechanical dynamics. Through experimental design and regression analysis, the optimization model is established and the multi-objective optimization of the spindle is realized. Finally the computer simulation is made. The dissertation obtains following research results.Through the software of Ansys the static mechanical model is analyzed and by the orthogonal experiment and regression analysis, the response surface model for the stresses and deformation of the spindle that base on the dimension parameters is obtained. The target function and restraint conditions of the mathematical model are established and through the optimization calculation, a lightweight spindle model with better static characteristics is obtained.The dynamic model of transverse vibration and torsional vibration are established based on the method of transfer matrix and the natural frequencies are calculated. The main factors that affect the natural frequency of the spindle are determined by sensitivity analysis. The target function and restraint conditions of multi-objective optimization are established by introducing the lightweight design model. Finally a lightweight spindle model with both better static characteristics and dynamic characteristics is obtained.The design criteria for the transmission system of tire building machine are determined preliminarily and the whole design idea is given. Through the commercial 3D design software of SolidWorks, the virtual prototype of the transmission system is established and the motion simulation is made.
