Composite materials are used in a wide range of applications in aircraft engine fields due to theirsuperior mechanical properties over conventional materials. The focus study areas of compositematerials are how to design to meet the requirements.In recent years, with the completion of someforeign "composite material expert system", the development of advanced materials design has gotsubstantial progress.These advanced materials design systems use integrated method to study newmaterials, high-speed computers are used to combine, test and evaluate new materials.This paperfoucs on carbon fiber/polymer composite materials expert system.The design and developing of object-oriented expert system for composite materials is studied inthis paper and the main content of this paper includes the followings:(1)The modeling of composite materials using object-oriented method is studied。The library forcomposite laminates analysis is developed using object-oriented program language c++; Commonlanguage for composite laminates analysis is designed and developed based on the library.(2)The design of object-oriented expert system for composite materials is studied and themodules for laminated composite structures analysis based on lua, matlab, CLCLA are developed andintegrated. Object-oriented expert system for composite materials analysis based on this analysislibrary and laminate composite analysis language CLCLA is designed and a number of commonmodules are integrated. Optimization methods for composite laminates expert system are studied andthree types of optimization methods are designed.(3)Laminated composite structures optimization method based on DSA optimization method isstudied. DSA optimization algorithm is applied to the composite laminate optimization problems andcomposite laminated plates optimization based on the DSA algorithm is developed. The compositelaminated structure optimization method based on the DSA and finite element analysis (DSA-FEM) isstudied. Composite laminate analysis module based on DSA algorithm and optimization method forcomposite material casing based on DSA-FEM optimization method is developed and integrated oncomposite materials expert system.
