Because of the defects such as t low limit current density and deposition rate, long processingcycle during the Electrodeposition process, a kind of rapid prototyping of friction electrodepositiontechnology joined the rapid prototyping technology together was proposed and completed each otherin the accuracy and efficiency machining cost, the precision metal parts with complex shape andcertain performance requirements can be directly and quickly created.This paper was the basis of experimental studies of the technology, and make the following maintasks:1) Viability of the technique was analyzed in theory. Rapid prototyping technology andelectrodeposition technology combinied by rapid prototyping of friction electrodeposition technologycan quickiy prepare metal parts by lower cost.2) Equipment was developed for forming the metal parts,including electrochemical depositionsystems and mask system development.3) As the experiment appeared uneven deposition, simulate and optimiz with the cathode electricfield distribution using ANSYS finite element software. Based on the simulation results ofpreliminary experimental verification, find the right pole spacing, the thickness of the template andthe position of auxiliary cathode to improve the surface electric field distribution to making thedeposition surface roughness is greatly improved.4) As the quality of the deposition surface was instability, hard particle was introduced to frictdeposition surface. The mechanism of action of hard particles was explored and that hard particles canimprove the quality of surface deposition was everificated by experiment.5) Explore the process rules of the technology. Research the average current density, Cathodespeedand other factors on the surface morphology, microstructure and properties of the cathodedeposited layers. Explore more optimization parameters, and prepared with a certain thickness,accuracy and performance of metal parts.
