The combination of Reverse engineering and incremental forming process technology is theadvanced design method in the Modern society.Reverse engineering in rapid forming field is morevery important than before.The combination of the two technology can promoted the Product designcycle and save the cost.This technology can widely used in the new product development, moulddesign, and old parts reduction, and other aspects.Now,the technology of reverse incremental forming still not mature,we should reseach thesection of the whole process to find the best way to improve the degree of accuracy.This systemincluded: data collection, Data processing, surface reconstruction, generating contours, extract tracks,numerical simulation, CNC processing.This paper focus on the following parts:⑴Find the key point of the Reverse Incremental Forming technology, formulating the machiningprocess of this technology.⑵Find the best way to extract complex surface models’ equation,,reconstruction of the digitalmodel by matlab program.⑶It is very difficult to abtain the contour machining track of incremental forming,so,this paperhas taken the "discrete"method.use the mesh surface instead of the original surface,use thetwo-dimensional solving method to abtain the intersecting lines.finally,we can abtain the algorithm ofextracting contour processing path.⑷Study on the effert of forming precision because of the different processing path,modify theprocessing path according to the tool reduction,tool step,tract pattern and so on.take some simulationexperiment to compare the effect of different parameter we have taken.The experiment proved thismethod is flexible to a certain extent.⑸Use this new algorithm on the real models,through the error analysis and error contrast,weshould get the conclusion:this paper’method can use in the reverse incremental forming technologyand can control the error in the certain range.
