Study On Drawing Forming Technology Of Front Wall Pillar

Drawing is the key in the automobile panel manufacturing process, the quality of drawing partswill effect the part quality of subsequent processes. In the process of production, the inside-outredrawing area and deep drawing area of front wall pillar appear cracking easily, cause that thedefective goods often appears. therefore we need to improve on drawing processing of the frontwall pillar, to improve its forming quality and reduce the production cost.This paper studied and analysised the drawing processing of front wall pillar, for eamaple, thedetermining of punching forming direction, the design of Die Addendum Surface and Die BinderWrap, the choose of blank holder force, etc. Use UG designe the digital model of the drawn part,and finish the forming process mold design of front wall pillar. Use the blank development todetermine the general appearance of the blank, and to determine the installing of process holes, thedrawing process is simulated, choose the blank with the process holes. Drawbead settings play animportant role in automobile panel die design, the drawing process is simulated to setting a wholecircle drawbead and subsection drawbead, get and analyze the limit diagram of forming andthickness distribution map, according to the results, choose the subsection drawbead. The drawingprocess is tested at last, the results of process test and numerical simulation are consistent, the resultof punching process for automobile panel can be predicted effectively with the method of finiteelement numerical simulation. Test result show improved technology and die solve the problem ofappearing cracking in the inside-out redrawing area and deep drawing area, the quality of the partmeets the using demand.The paper improved the forming structure of front wall pillar, improving the quality ofproducts, meeting the practical application, having the certain meanings of technological advanceand the application value.
