The cycloid pin gear point contact planetary transmission is a new type precisiontransmission, it was brought forward based on the fact pin gear tooth profile of ordinarycycloidal needle wheel planetary transmission is modified for tubular, which makes it tothe point contact of tooth contact line, and internal cycloid wheel without any change.This precise transmission has prominent traits such as high contact strength, goodbearing capacity, high efficiency, high transmission precision, low noise. So there arewidely used in many industry areas such as precision machinery, medical treatmentinstrument, robot, weapon mounting. The paper focuses on precision CNC machiningkey technologies of the cycloid pin gear point contact planetary transmission’s parts oftubular shaped pin wheel. The work of this thesis is one of the important parts of theNSFC plan project. The main contents of the thesis as follows:①It is simply introduced the basis of kinematics of the cycloid pin gear pointcontact planetary transmission, as well as the principle of planetary wheel tubularmodification.②According to the planetary wheel’ tooth characteristic and the analyzes aboutthe advanced manufacturing technology, the theory research was brought out “formingand the envelope CNC grinding” machining method. We deduce the mathematicalmodel and mathematic expressions about planetary wheel machining. And we get thetooth profile node data which match the CNC machining by carrying on mathematicalinterpolation operator on the curve of the tool path using discrete interpolationalgorithms for space equal parameter approximation.③In the Windows XP Operating system using VC++6.0as development tools, werealize the CNC automatic programming system design of CNC machining automaticcode generation according to the results of mathematic expressions of NC machiningand discrete interpolation algorithms for space equal parameter approximation.④Based on the CNC automatic programming system and machining principle,we realize the motion simulation of planetary wheel machining, which visually showsmachining process and tool path to verify the correctness of the machining principle andNC program.⑤According to outcomes of theoretical research and combining with toothprofile characteristics of tubular shaped pin wheel, a lot of production preparation before grinding, which lays foundation for processing the qualified samples.Simultaneously, we have done the grinding machining test to planetary wheel byMK2945C continuous track coordinate grinding machines.
