With the rapid consumption rate of global energy that includes oil, gas, and so on, theconstruction of pipelines has been the rapid development largely. The large-diameterstraight-welded welded pipe (LSAW) had been widely used as the gas and liquidtransmission pipeline in the aviation, aerospace, automotive, petrochemical industry. Withthe increase in the pressure of the pipeline transport, it is more and more important to theforming technology of LSAW. The forming technology of LSAW has become animportant indicator of pipeline transportation safety. Therefore, it is one of hot topics tostudy high-efficiency, high-quality large-scale LSAW forming process.Based on the theory of analysis for LSAW pipe, it does to Numerical simulation andexperimental research for basic forming model of LSAW’S JCO forming process——Air-bending forming of wide die big curvature radius according to the basic principleof finite element method, metal deformation and the characteristics of finite elementsimulation software. And then the subject selects the optimum combination of formingparameters. builds the finite element model of air-bending forming of plate. According tothe theoretical basis of mechanical expanding forming process mechanical deformationprocess of hole diameter.The result from the simulation is consistent with the experiment.By numerical simulation software ,the thesis analyses the effect of processparameters of the die fillet radius, the thickness on the air-bending forming and the effectof hole diameter rate on forming quality of the mechanical expanding of pipe.The thesissummarized a number of laws that provide an important guide and reference to the choiceof forming equipment, the design of dies and the development and optimization for theJCO forming and mechanical expanding forming of the large Longitudinal welded pipe,and has greater engineering application prospect.
