The magnetized coagulation technology are mainly studied in this article. Throughexperiments, the optimal operational parameters are determined, and the coagulationeffectiveness as well as property of magnetic coagulation technology are analyzed.Experiment implemente magnetization through the three ways of magneted watersamples, magnetic water soluble coagulant and magnetized coagulant solution. Take theturbidity and turbidity removal rate as evaluation indexes, Considering that the effete ofthe magnetic field intensity, the magnetization time, the dosage and the pH to PFScoagulant and Rare Earth coagulant by single factor experiments and orthogonalexperiments. The optimal operational parameters are determined as follows:The PFS coagulant: magnetize treatment of water: the magnetic field strength is89mT, the magnetization time is4min, the dosage is3ml/L, the pH is9; Magnetizewater dissolved coagulant: the magnetic field strength is60.1mT, the magnetizationtime is5min, the dosage is3ml/L, the pH is7; Magnetize coagulant solution: themagnetic field strength is44.6mT, the dosage is2ml/L, the magnetization time is5min.The rare earth coagulant: magnetize treatment of water: the magnetic field strengthis89mT, the magnetization time is5min, the dosage is3ml/L, the pH is8; Magnetizewater dissolved coagulant: the magnetic field strength is74.3mT, the magnetizationtime is6min, the dosage is6ml/L, the pH is8; Magnetize coagulant solution: themagnetic field strength is60.1mT, the dosage is3ml/L, the magnetization time is5min.In order to test the coagulation effect of magnetized coagulation technology,contrast experiments were taken both magnetized coagulation technology and theconventional coagulation technology. Experimental results show that the magnetic fieldis of great effect to the coagulant. Under the same experimental conditions, when usingthe PFS coagulant, the effluent turbidity of the magnetized coagulation can be reducedabout310NTU than the effluent turbidity of common coagulation, the CODcr can bereduced about515mg/L, the does can be saved about30%; when using the Rare Earthcoagulant, the effluent turbidity of the magnetized coagulation can be reduced about313NTU than the effluent turbidity of common coagulation, the CODcr can be reducedabout10mg/L, but the dose did not decrease obviously. By comparing with threemagnetized way can show that magnetized coagulant solution is the best magnetizedway. Comparing magnetiz coagulation technology with the conventional coagulants, theresults showed that magnetized coagulant has a more prominent feature that the sludgevolume is very small, the flocculation speed is fast, floc-compacting, the moisture content islow. when using the PFS coagulant, the settlement time and the sludge volume of magnetizedare respectively down to24min,1/31/2; when using the Rare Earth coagulant, thesettlement time and the sludge volume of magnetized are respectively down to23min,1/3.But the sludge resistance of used the PFS coagulant and the rare earth coagulant isrespectively up to0.652.69×1011cm/g,0.61.94×1011cm/g. Through Comparing, the mostprominent feature of magnetized coagulation technology have been found which coagulantdosage and sludge volume can reduce greatly, and thus can greatly save water treatment costs.
