Selecting00Cr26Ni5Mo2Cu3RE duplex stainless steel as a studying object isbecause that it has excellent toughness and welding properties of austenitic stainlesssteel, as well as possesses high strength and good corrosion resistance of chloride offerritic stainless steel, and its PREN (Pitting Resistance Equivalent Number) is greaterthan40. According to the feature of two phases of organization, in order to improve itsproperties such as wearing resistance, mechanics, corrosion resistance and so on, themain manner is to control the percentage of contain phases, however influence theinterior percentage of material lies in composition of chemical elements, solutiontemperature and cooling manner. The property of duplex stainless steel has something to do with the balance ofaustenitic and ferritic phases, but the percentage of two phases are decided bychemical elements and solution temperature. The solution temperature acts as criticalrole when chemical elements are established. In the paper, the influence of temperature and cooling manner to the properties ofstructure, hardness and corrosion resistance of00Cr26Ni5Mo2Cu3RE duplex stainlesssteel are studied after heat treatment950~1200℃. During the experiment, we carriedout many research such as analysis percentage, hardness test and corrosion experimentby means of many kinds of instrument. Our finally aim is to optimize heat treatmentprocess for practical work. The results show that:1. With the increase of solution treatment temperature, thehardness of00Cr26Ni5Mo2Cu3RE is gradually increased, between1050~1125℃, itshardness is higher and mechanical properties is good, so the solution treatment can becarried out in this temperature range.2. When the solution temperature rises, thecontent of ferrite increased, the austenite content was reduced, and when thetemperature reaches1150℃, the content of ferrite increased significantly.3. When00Cr26Ni5Mo2Cu3RE duplex stainless steel was solution treatment in between1050 ~1125℃, its corrosionresistance and wear resistance are good. When cast, itscorrosion resistance and wear resistance are poor, as the solution temperature increases, its corrosion resistance gradually increased, and the ratio of two phases is relativelyclose to.4. Different cooling methods has a great influence on the corrosion resistanceof duplex stainless steel, after cooling with the low concentration of water-basedquenching liquid, stainless steel has the best corrosion resistance. However, aftercooling with the furnace or aging treatment for long period of time, the corrosionresistance of stainless steel will be significantly reduced.
