At present, flexo printing has been the fastest growing printing methods inthe world wide. How to improve the quality of flexio printing and expand themarket scale has attached great importance of the industry experts andscholars. In the flexo printing, ensuring the normal circulation of ink supplysystem and precise controlling of the transferred ink are the key points ofgetting good printing quality. This paper analyzed ink transfer performance andink circulation characteristics of flexo printing’s ink supply system, whichprovided important basis for improving the flexible printing quality. In allusion to ink transfer performance, the paper analyzed the printing inktransfer process in flexo printing and factors which affect the ink transfer. Inview of each effect factor, printing experiments were made based on theorthogonal experiment table, which was designed through scientific orthogonaldesign method to find the changing laws on the transferred inking weight witheach factor. According to these changing laws, the test data of ink weight werefitted and optimized by using the mathematical analysis software of MATLAB,the mathematical models about inking weight with these affecting factors werecreated. The mathematical models provide solution and theoretical basis forthe printing quality issues which happened during the printing process. Then the paper analyzed the ink circulation system of chambered doctorblade and the whole cyclic process. In this study, a fluid mechanics analysissoftware named FLUENT was used to simulate the ink circulation situation ofthe chamber .The existing domestic chambered doctor blade system waschosed as research object .By contrasting the velocity vector diagram of theink in the chamber and pressure diagram of different closed chamber volumeand the amount of ink into and outo the closed chamber, the impact of closedchamber volume and the amount of ink into and outo the closed chamber onthe ink circulation was explored. On that basis, reasonable suggestion to thechambered doctor blade was provided.
