The effects of raw materials, such as kaolin clay, the binders, etc, of catalytic cracking catalyst by in-situ crystallization on crystallinity, pore structure, mechanical strength and activity of catalyst were studied..A new method preparing catalytic cracking catalyst with mesopore was proposed. The spinel and metakaolin were integrated with a calcined microsphere with boehmite as the main binder and silica sol with the activator as the auxiliary binder. For the catalyst prepared by in-situ crystallization with the calcined microsphere above-mentioned, crystallization rate is fast and mechanical strength and abrasion resistance is good, the crystallinity is 26%, the mesopore radius is 60A, the surface area is 472.1 m2/g,the abrasion index is 1.4%.The effect of the ratio of spinel and metakaolin on catalyst is investigated by the above-mentioned method. The results show that as the proportion of spinel increases, pore volume(PV) of 20A pore radius decreases, PV of 20-30A pore radius increases and PV of 60A pore radius remains unchanged. They attribute to the metakaolin crystallization, spinel crystallization and the accumulation of colloidal particles of the binder respectively. The latter is independent on spinel proportion and molecular sieve crystallinity.
