Because of phenol was toxic, and would cause serious pollution to theenvironment, so how to handle of hydroxybenzene wastewater had been the focus ofattention.Adsorption was one of the most effective methods for the treatment oftable-water and wasterwater, but it still had problems in the regeneration and thesecondary pollution in the regeneration process. Thus,it would be of great theoreticaland practical significances to prepare a new adsorbent which had high adsorptivecapacity and could be regenerated easily.Ironoxide/activated carbon composite adsorbent materials wereprepared byactivated carbon and iron oxide in this work.Apparent characters and physicalchemistry performances of coal based cabron, wood based cabron, and specially madeferric oxide crystal were studied by the means of scan electronic microscope (SEM),X-ray diffraction(XRD), at al. And to discuss the impact of the activated carbonstructure and surface chemical properties of phenol adsorption performance by thecontent of the surface functional groups and point of zero charge. The adsorption of phenol static adsorption experiments, determination of theadsorption equilibrium of phenol in the composite adsorbent, filtering out theappropriate mathematical model to fit the experimental data, and also investigated theinfluence of phenol removal on dosage , pH, temperature, are provide theoretical basisfor practical application . The results show that the adsorption of phenol is higherwhen water in acidic neutral pH; activated carbon adsorption of phenol is anexothermic process , low temperature is beneficial for activated carbon adsorption ofphenol, and the adsorption is physical adsorption. Phenol adsorption on activatedcarbon conform to the Freundlich adsorption model, the lower content of acidicfunctional groups on the carbon surface, the higher the adsorption capacity of phenol. This paper study the performance of catalytic degradation of phenol withcomposite adsorbent, discuss the impact of various factors on the degradation ofphenol, determine the optimum reaction conditions of catalytic degradation of phenolthrough Heterogeneous Fenton reaction. The results showed that the phenol removalefficiency can be acheived 99%, and has a good recycling performance. This paper also study saturated carbon regeneration, including temperature, pharmaceutical concentration and regeneration time will be its impact. Regeneration with 1 mol/L NaOH oscillation at 40℃for 24 hours, the effect is the best foundthrough experiments. Ranalysis showed that the impact of primary and secondaryfactors followed by the pharmaceutical concentration, regeneration time andtemperature. Adsorption material remains good adsorption properties after three timesregeneration.
