In recent years, with the development and progress of science and technology, the continued growth of the manufacturing sector needs of modern society, the curvedparts were more and more widely used in aviation, aerospace, automotive industry, shipbuilding, boilers and pressure vessels, light industry and other gasesand liquidspipelines engineering and other fields, especially on large-scale use of high strengthsteel in recent years, the analysis and optimization of the bending and formingtechnology becomes more urgent, bending and forming a metal processing methods inthe industrial sector have been widely used,it not only can be used to increase thestrength of the metal parts, but also it is the principle of a number of importantprocessing methods, such as roll forming, the study of bending process is verymeaningful. There are a lot of problems during the bending process, such as deformation ofstress and strain changes, rebound size after deformation and residual stress and strainare needed to further explore the issue. Finite element analysis as a mathematicalapproximation method to simulate the real physical system analysis method has beenwidely used in industrial production and engineering analysis, and the use of theFinite element method analysis of the bending process make it easier to get a moreaccurate analysis results. In previous studies, in most cases, the analysis of stress and strain changes inthe process of bending is in the light of the traditional tensile test results, however, theformula of the elastic rebound angle can be seen, the mechanical properties of thematerial in the bending test is entirely different in the standard tensile test. Therefore,as the early stage of basic research for the molding equipment, to find more suitablerelational model for the mechanics of the bending process,at the same time, thebuilding of the bending process test equipment, and doing bending tests are a keyfactor in depth study of the molding process.Based on the theoretical analysis and the control method study of springback inbending process, this paper presented a quantitive analysis on bending process. A newstress-strain relationship model was proposed, and the instability characteristics in bending was analysed. By finite element method, a finite element model wasestablished for typical V bending process, and the simulation results were comparedand studied, which concluded that it is possible to apply FEA in springback analysisand its prediction of bending process. In order to make further study on redundantstress and yield stress in bending, a new bending experiment equipment was proposed, and the material load and curvature relationship in bending was concluded, with theexperimental results analysed.
