The aluminum electrolysis production flow of the roasting directly affect the service life of the aluminum electrolytic cells, use efficiency and energy dissipation index, is a very important link of electrolytic production process. At present, the domestic main way of roasting is coke roasting, automation degree is low, needing manual installation and removal of splitter, and in the process of roasting data collection is completed by artificial. So not only workers’ labor burden is great, but also it is hard to ensue the time of data collection and the degree of accuracy. At present, service life of Chinese aluminium electrolytic cell is generally lower than foreigners’, and it has a direct relation of roasting.The research content of this paper is a part of guiding teacher’ subject "350kA cell roasting the automatic control system development" which is entrusted by the China power investment group company qingtongxia aluminum company.Firstly in this thesis aluminum cell roasting start method and research progress both at home and abroad are are summarized analysed and discussed. Focusing on the actual situation of roasting start of the qingtongxia aluminum company using coke roasting and taking a tracking test of the qingtongxia aluminum company350KA aluminum electrolysis production line of the roasting process, the roasting process electrolytic cell temperature, quantity of diversion roasting of shunt of slot and roasting of temperature of the shunt, to set up the foundation for follow-up study work.According to the development of high power roasting group device for electrolytic cell of the steady-state shunt roasting startup fever were analyzed, and the steady temperature theory calculation formula is founded, again through the experimental data of formula is verified. In combination with the scene of the calcination process based on the data of this paper through the simulation test method of roasting cell start, in this article through the method of simulation test of roasting start of cell, a great deal of experiments of automatic control system of roasting are carried out. some problems appeared in the test such as in the roasting overheating of shunt and so on a series of hardware problem, the corresponding optimization are made respectively, the optimized automatic control system are verified in latter tests,and the effect of optimization is good. On the basis of this, the corresponding optimization design and the secondary development of the roasting software system are carried out.In qingtongxia electrolytic production workshop one stand of automatic control system of roasting was run, the feasibility of the optimization of automatic control system is verified, the system is running well,the optimization effect is verified.At present, two prototype of high power aluminum electrolytic roasting automatic device developed by our research group has been used in the qingtongxia aluminum company production line.The application results show that the design function of the device is satisfied, and aluminium electrolysis roasting process control and real-time record of the relevant data can be realized.
