Garro River is255.8km in length, its territory is137km long and it flows through an area of2750square kilometers. Garro River is belong to the Huaihe River. Though the drainage area of Garro River is only1/46of the Huai River drainage area, it is one of the most polluted ilk of Huaihe River. What’s more, it is the IV water of water function zoning. Garro River is the more serious nitrogen and phosphorus pollution in city river, and It is a microcosm of many urban river pollution. The river has been polluted by ammonia, through a series of physical and chemical reaction, will produce the nitrite that has carcinogens. This material penetrates by river and will directly affect the safety of people’s drink ground water. In the face ofthe increasing scarcity of urban water resources, we have to fundamentally solve the problem of internal pollution sources in the urban river, which is not only beautify of the urban living environment but is a major guarantor to improve people’s quality of life. There are many factors to lead to exceeding the nitrogen and phosphorus in Garro Rive. In the exclusion of external pollution, this article is mainly from internal pollution. In recent years, ammonia pollution is one of the biggest problem in Garro River. The fundamental solution to this problem is to realize the nature and transformation of nitrogen and phosphorus. On the basis of literature data and consulting experts, by the research on fieldwork and hydrological conditions of Garro River and combining with the status of Garro River pollution, the experimental program has been developed. This experiment investigated the influence of environmental factors which contain dissolved oxygen, pH, temperature on the release of nitrogen and phosphorus in sediment, and summed up the release law of the nitrogen and phosphorus. The results are as follows:(1) Dissolved oxygen has the important influence on the release of nitrogen and phosphorus in sediment. When there are more adequate dissolved oxygen, the release of ammonia nitrogen, nitrite nitrogen and nitrate nitrogen is greater than the anoxic environment in sediment. When the research system for the anoxic environment, the release of phosphorus in the sediment is greater than the oxygen-rich environment, and thus the content of phosphorus in overlying water has increased.(2)With increasing of the research system temperature, the rate of releasing ammonia nitrogen, nitrate nitrogen, total phosphorus has also increased in sediment. In the inversion to the physical environment, there are more serious sources of pollution in the summer.(3)The amount of ammonia which sediment release decreased with the system of pH increasing. It is suitable for release of nitrate nitrogen in the neutral acidic environment. Different pH values can cause the different amount of phosphorus in sediment. When the system is a weak acid or weak base environment, the release of phosphorus were higher than the neutral environment.(4) Ammonia is the main form of releasing of nitrogen in sediment; Orthophosphate is the main form of re leasing of phosphorus in sediment.
