The main factors to affect the interfacial tension of the ternary compound system bythe non-active ingredients in industrial alkali were studied via univariate analysis andorthogonal multi-factor tests. It was found that Fe3+, Mg2+, Ca2+in alkali had less effecton the interfacial tension of the ternary complex system, but sodium ion affected theinterfacial tension of the ternary compound system significantly. The mechanism of theeffect of sodium ion on the ASP system was proposed, and the absorption double electriclayers between oil-water interfaces formed from the surfactant molecules and theelectrostatic repulsion come from the hydrophilic head groups in surfactant moleculeswould change with the concentration of Na ions. The using standard of industrial bases inoil field was given based on the evaluation of single factors and water quality factors, theevaluation and analysis of major factors, and the fitted data of the components ofindustrial alkali.
