Rotating sleeve is the main parts of YN30A diesel rock drill machine in rotational mechanism, the inner spline of three claws evenly circumferential distributed in. Extrusion is a kind of precision forming technology mainly applied to the rotary shape workpiece, in this paper, it studied the non-rotary shape workpiece extrusion forming process by Numerical simulation and Physical simulation method,Using CATIA software to achieve both of the parts and mold the3D modeling and the best parameter design in Numerical simulation. Analysis on extrusion forming process numerical simulation by Deform software, and modifies a parameter according to the relevant manual calculation. wave growth phenomenon was observed with the forming of the three claws in simulation of extrusion process, and the article analyzes the reason of it. The research shows that, the circumferential wave edge waste is caused by punch shape, because when the convex die head is forming the three claw concave parts into the blank, the blank metal is more along the concave upward squeezing flow, leading to depression part forming, forming three wave shapes. Circumferential edge waste volume is actually as the same volume as the three convex parts of punch head. In Physical simulation experiment, it designing and manufacturing the die, using industrial pure lead as the workpiece material, in the current equipment of laboratory conditions, the paper have a research on the physical simulation of the extrusion forming process, due to the experimental data is not accurate, the paper modifying the transitional angle between the cylinder and the flange, processing experimental die once more, and finally forming extrusion smoothly.The results show that, using extrusion method can form the inside hole into the non-rotator shaped workpieces, and it can replace the original cutting process.
