Abnormal large grains were observed in aluminum plate which is produced by twin-rollcasting slab. The mechanism for abnormal grain growth (ABGG) of large grains wasinvestigated. Grain boundary morphology, misorientation of ABGG and the texture of thetwin-roll casting slab which contains abnormal large grains are studied by EBSD and SEM.The results show: the Twin-roll Casting slab surface have {001}<3-20>,{001}<110>,{111}<110> texture, the internal texture of the Twin-roll Casting slab gradually evolved intoother orientations and the number of orientations gradually increased from the surface tocenter, the grain size from the surface to the center increased gradually;{001}<100> texturewere observed in the plate and it was the typical texture of the FCC recrystallization after coldrolling; the orientation of the long grain was (314)[-1-11], and the orientation of equiaxedgrain was {014}<-3-41>, both of the misorientation angles between ABGG and neighborgrains were above45°; The CSL analysis showed that the grain boundary between theABGG grain and surrounding grain does not meet the coincidence of the Coincidence SiteLattice, atoms randomly arranged in high angle grain boundary; Fe precipitates at the grainboundaries between ABGG grain and surrounding grain.
