With the purpose of improving the product quality, reducing its costs and enhancing the production efficiency, manufacturing enterprises continue research and ameliorate of the production process. With the application of the automatic technology, computer technology and online detection technology, production efficiency has been enhanced largely.In the assembly line of the car, bumper processing is very crucial for vehicle installation. The manufacturing process of the bumper can be divided into several processes; one of them is the process of radar hole. Because Bumper’s performance is related to safety of the drivers and passengers, and the location of radar hole is crucial for the bumper’s stiffness and its using effect, so it is obviously important to control its quality strictly.In order to ensure the whole stiffness of the bumper and the best using effect of radar, the process of radar hole is crucial. Therefore, this article has researched on punching machine’s key technology, to improve the performance of the punching machine, to ensure quality of the hole’s processing. The main contents of the research include the following aspects:1) Analyzing the functionality for punching machine. Based on the function of machine, the punching machine function was divided into three systems: Mechanical system. Driving system and Control system; According to the practical needs of punching machine, designed the punching mechanism, researched on driving technologies and optimized of controlling systems.2) Optimizing for key components of punching machine. First of all, based on the working state of punching hole equipment, found out the stress condition which the equipment is suffer, set up the finite elements model for Workbench and C-bracket. Then, Workbench and C-bracket was designed with optimization method: decreasing deformation and obtaining reasonable of C-bracket; obtaining the best topological structure of Workbench.3) Studying on driving technologies for punching machine. According to the design requirements and environment of punching machine designed Power System, which is pneumatic system. The content of punching machine’s power system contains selection for pneumatic components, executive mechanism and the principle diagram of pneumatic system. Then validating the Designing and selection of dynamic systems with the multiple field simulation software AMESim, providing a method for the design of dynamic systems.4) Optimizing for controlling systems. According to the design claims, realized the function of monitor for machine working status and working parameters. Uniting PLC and Touch screen build control system, which can show parameters immediately and contain soft-button that reduced the area of control panel.
