As one of the key links of Modern Manufacturing Technology, Modern CNCTechnology directly relates to the national development strategy. Interpolationalgorithm based on CNC is not only one of the core technologies of numericalcontrol technique, but also is the important indicator of the quantity judgments of theNC system’s interpolation function, the effect of interpolation, and the evaluation ofthe CNC’s performance. In aviation, aerospace, marine, automotive electronicconsumer goods processing and other areas, with complex surface (curve) productsare widely existed, such as an aircraft engine blade shell, etc. some important parts,high precision, high speed machining in CNC machine tool. After the analysis of thedevelopment status and trends of domestic and foreign NC technology, this papergive a deep research on the interpolation of complex curves and surfacesNURBScurve. The result has very important significance to improve the performance of NCsystem.In order to make deeper study on this problem, the author collected somelatest information about B spline curve surface, NURBS curve surface,and NURBS’sproperties and calculation methods. This paper thoroughly study the NURBS curveand its forming characteristic, parameter calculation method. Study on the traditionalinterpolation algorithms use a order, two order Taylor expansion for the nextinterpolation iterative such large calculation error, calculation formula for solvingthe complex computation. This paper presents NURBS curve correction (improved)algorithm, through proper interpolation preprocessing and reasonable simplification,the algorithm to achieve correction (improved); at the same time the paper also putsforward time segmentation parameter adaptive interpolation control method,considering the contour error control, realize the interpolation accuracy andinterpolation speed optimization, improve the processing quality and efficiency.Both in theory expounded, and based on the specific examples to verify theinterpolation, compare NURBS original curve and correction (improved) after theinterpolation curve, found the interpolation algorithm can reduce the interpolationtime and improve the efficiency of interpolation, which meets the NURBS curvecorrection purposes. Finally,The research process involves some of the issues,which is conducted in-depth research and study. Complex curves and surfaces interpolation precision processing technology isone of the key technologies. In this paper, which overcomes some of the limitationsof commonly used numerical control interpolation algorithm, with complex curvesand surfaces modification algorithm as the goal, from the correction algorithm toachieve in theory elaborated.Algorithm and realization process, including itsimplementation procedure, and its chord error control method. The results ofsimulation by MATLAB analyze the algorithm’s interpolation precision and theresults of the speed, the validation of the interpolation algorithm are correct,effective and real-time, and also verify that the algorithm is correct, effective andreal-time. Carrying out the research on this topic not only has important theoreticalvalue to improve the performance of NC system, but also has important practicalvalue in engineering application.This study makes preparations for empoldering newgenerations of the CAD/CAM/CNC.
