In recent years, indoor decoration pollution hazard health problems, has caused wide attention of all socialsectors.Indoor air purification technology which is an important part of the field of environmental science isbecoming a hot spot of research and development. Green plants can purify air, improve the environmentalcondition, this is well known. In China, there are few research on it, especially there are few qualitative andquantitative research on these flowers plant the effect of absorpting toxic gases,the species of toxic gases. Thisstudy used glass airtight box as a test device, with portable formaldehyde analyzer method. For four flowersplant resistance of formaldehyde ability appraisal to provide simple and practical method for and choicing thekind of its resistance of formaldehyde ability to provide the scientific basis and theoretical basis.The main conclusions of this experiment were shown as follows:(1) The four species of flowers plants have different ability of cleaning formaldehyde,in24h the cleaningpercentage are as follows: Taxus chinensis var.mairei (86.7%)> Fatsia japonica (80.6%)> Canna indica(76.4%)> Jasminum sambac (31.9%).The four species of flowers plant, The ability of the unit of leave-areacleaning formaldehyde in24h are different,we can find that: Canna indica (5.36mg/m~2)> Fatsia japonica(4.01mg/m~2)> Taxus chinensis var.mairei (3.41mg/m~2)> Jasminum sambac (3.06mg/m~2).0h-24h,the plants’speed rate of cleaning formaldehyde are different,while the timeincreasing the speed rate decreasing, the top15h absorption rate is higher, the back of the9h absorption rate reduced.(2) Under different formaldehyde stress treatment,from the plant appearance shape four flowers plant leaveslook different degree of damage there.According to the flowers plant leaf hurt rate, judge four flowers plantresistance from strongest to the weakest were as shown: Canna indica> Fatsia japonica> Taxus chinensisvar.mairei> Jasminum sambac.(3) Under different formaldehyde stress treatment,the physiologcal and biochemical indexes of4species offlowers plants’ leaves were changed.The four species of flowers plants’ relative conductivity in variouscultivars shown an upward trend with increased of the formaldehyde stress, One of the most Jasminumsambac ion leakage.Along with the increase of the formaldehyde concentration four flowers plant on thechlorophyll content decreased firstly and then increased to a change, in which the content of the largest amountJasminum sambac change, change the content of Canna indica small scale.Soluble protein, soluble sugarcontent with the degree of stress intensifies, the content of soluble sugar maintain the upward trend, solubleprotein increased firstly and then decreased to a change, the leaves of the plasma membrane Canna indica minimized damage.With the increase of stress concentration formaldehyde content,the four species of flowersplants’ MDA content maintain the upward trend,among them, Jasminum sambac, Taxus chinensisvar.mairei,Fatsia japonica of the MDA content change is significant, Canna indica amount is small. Thefour species of flowers plants’ SOD activity in various cultivars shown an upward trend with increased of theformaldehyde stress,and POD activity with increased of the formaldehyde stress, Taxus chinensis var.maireiJasminum sambac.were rising trend; Canna indica, Fatsia japonica increased firstly and then decreased to achange. and CAT activity with increased of the formaldehyde stress, Taxus chinensis var.mairei Jasminumsambac increased firstly and then decreased to a change, Canna indica, Fatsia japonica maintain thedownward trend,the Canna indica0f SOD, CAT and POD activity is higher,the Jasminum sambac of activityis low.(4) Comprehensive evaluated the formaldehyde ability of the four species of flowers plants. The results showedthat: chlorophyll content, relative conductivity, soluble protein, soluble sugar content, MDA content, PODactivity, SOD activity, CAT activity can be used as the identification indicators for the formaldehyde resistanceof four species of flowers plants. The formaldehyde resistance of four species of flowers plants.The Cannaindica has the maximum value and its drought resistance is the strongest,the worst drought resistance isJasminum sambac,Fatsia japonica and Taxus chinensis var.mairei resistance center.Comprehensiveconsideration of the flowers plant purification formaldehyde ability and ability of formaldehyde, four species offlowers plants thatpurifies indoor formaldehyde pollution Canna indica is the optimal choice.
