The machine tool is an indispensable equipment in processing and manufacturing industries,and its state of development largely reflects the basic scientific research strength of a country. After decades of developmentthe machine tool industry in our country has made remarkable achievements.But comparing with foreign countries,there remains a considerable gap in analysis and optimization by means of modern approach.This paper is to study the body of a CNC planer type milling-boring machine designed by traditional design method,utilizing modern design method to analyze and optimize this structure. The main researches and conclusions are presented as follows:1. Building up the three-dimensional pattern of the body, analyzing the structure and utilizing ANSYS Workbench to conduct static and modal analysis.The results show that all performance indexes of the machine tool body meet the application requirements. But the structure is much too thick, there is certain optimization space.2. For two kinds of conditions in different constraints and different meshing respectively, doing static and modal analysis of the machine tool body again.By contrasting the results,we can draw the conclusion that finite element analysis may be used in precision relatively low unit, optimization may be used low order natural frequency as far as possible in comprehensive consideration of calculation time,calculation precision and engineering practicability.3. Setting up parametric optimization CAE model of machine tool body,and putting forward the corresponding solutions for the difficulties in parametric optimization.Multi-objective optimization of the four parameters and seven parameters is adopted in this paper.After optimization,both the weight and the static maximum deformation of the machine tool body is lower.In addition,the first order modal inherent frequency is improved.It is revealed that seven parameters optimization realizes the parametric optimization of the important size,and its optimization results is also more ideal.4. Summing up a kind of new optimization process for board structure of the machine tool body through comparing four parameters and seven parameters optimization results and verifying calculation.The advantages of the process is that it can improve the amplitude of the higher optimization target, and can effectively reduce the optimization time, improve the work efficiency.5. Using new material of resin concrete in the machine tool body and constructing two machine tool body structures, doing the static and modal analysis, and the results are compared with the original machine tool body.The contrast demonstrates that resin concrete materials can effectively improve the performance of the machine tool body, realizing the general optimization.lt also explains to use this material to construct this machine tool body is suitable for steel plate structure.The topic of this paper generates from the production practice of SHENJI Group Kunming Machine Tool Company Limited.The results of the study for the enterprises to improve the design of the machine tool body has certain practical significance,for the same type of analysis and optimization has certain guidance and reference.
