In China, the primary garbage treatments are landfill, compost and incineration. The incineration has the fastest growing rate in our country as its waste disposal technology with high treatment efficiency and small occupation. However, the fly ash of municipal solid waste incineration is solid waste, and most of them belong to the hazardous waste, and also it will bring secondary pollution and waste of resources. Therefore, it seems to be particularly important to study the resource utilization of research MSW fly ash.In this paper, the fly ash and waste glass were used as principal materials to prepare ceramisite with the addition of vesicant and modifier. The Optimal experimental conditions were investigated using single factor and orthogonal experiments respectively. The optimal factors affected the characteristics of ceramisite such as compressive strength and water absorption and specific surface area. The results showed that the optimal preparation parameters of ceramisite were as follows:fly ash49%, waste glass45%, blowing agent5%, modifier1%, water-solid ratio was0.25, the calcination temperature was800℃, the roasting time was30min. Under the optimal conditions, the best characteristics of prepared ceramisite were achieved:compressive strength over30MPa. water absorption less5%, specific surface area of approximately4.000m2/g. The XRD analysis showed that the ceramisite had the same crystal structure as ordinary ceramic, and the structure was oxide and silicate. SEM images showed that the ceramisite had uneven surface with a large number of closed and open pores. The ceramisite is a high performance lightweight building material. In addition, reclamation of ceramisite and fly ash cement solidification to the influence of heavy metal leaching concentration was compared. The results showed that the heavy metals leaching from the ceramisite was extremely lower than the content range defined in the Chinese standard (GB5085.3-2007), which demonstrated that the ceramisite produced by fly ash disposal technology was more feasible and secure in real life use.The investigation indicated that the ceramisite produced by waste incineration fly ash and waste glass has good physical and chemical properties with easy regeneration technology. It can realize the reduction, recycle and safe treatment of fly ash and waste glass simultaneously with remarkable social and economic benefits.
