The landfill leachate of Foshan Shunde garbage power plant was used and treated in thisstudy. The process of “Anaerobic Contact—Anaerobic Biological Filtration—ContactOxidation—Sedimentation Tank—Biofluidized Bed—Chemical Oxidation-BiologicalAerated Filter(BAF)” were applied to treat this leachate with complicated organic component,high NH3-N, high toxic and easy to biodegrade. According to biochemical treatment method,most of the biodegradable organic was removed. Fenton-BAF was used as the advancedtreatment process, Fenton Oxidation Process can improve the biodegradability of thewastewater, and decrease chrominance also, then the COD and NH3-N were removed bybiological aeration filter. The effluent met the requirement of the first discharge standard ofintegrated wastewater discharge standard(GB8978-1996).In normal temperature, low-load method to domesticate biochemical system, andanaerobic activated sludge from a beer factory of Guangzhou Baiyun district Renhe town wasused. The anaerobic system completely domesticated for nearly three months, and contactoxidation process and bio-fluidized bed completely domesticated for thirty-five days. Whenaverage influent flow of adjustment pool is15m3/d, and the circulation flowrate ofsedimentation tank is about for40m3/d. The removal rate of COD of anaerobic biologicalfiltration process was about thirty percent. The COD removal rate of contact oxidationprocess was about seventy percent. The removal rate of NH3-N in contact oxidation processwas about sixty-five percent. The COD removal rate of biofluidized bed was about seventypercent. The removal rate of NH3-N in biofluidized bed was seventy percent. Therefore,biochemical treatment domestication achieved successfully.After domestication of anaerobic system successful, and then the system operatedcontinuously and stable, as the influent flow was improved, the circulation reflux ofsedimentation tank is about two times of the influent flow, the average concentration of CODand NH3-N of influent flow of adjustment pool were28000mg/L and1400mg/L, the averageconcentration of COD and NH3-N of effluent of anaerobic contact process were7200mg/Land930mg/L, the average concentration of COD and NH3-N of effluent of anaerobicbiological filtration process were3400mg/L and900mg/L. At the running prophase of contact oxidation process, and anaerobic system still was indomestication state, With improving the influent quality, the COD and NH3-N of anaerobicbiological filtration process effluent improved obviously. After treatment of contact oxidationprocess, the average concentration of COD and NH3-N of sedimentation tank were1600mg/Land300mg/L, The average removal rate of COD and NH3-N were forty-five percent and sixtypercent.The influent of bio-fluidized bed was the same as the influent of anaerobic biologicalfiltration process. After bio-fluidized bed, the average concentration of COD and NH3-N ofbio-fluidized bed were1000mg/L and60mg/L respectively, The average removal rate of CODand NH3-N were thirty-five percent and eighty percent.The optimal condition of wastewater for Fenton process was: H2O2:COD=1.5,n(Fe2+):n(H2O2)=1.2, pH of wastewater maintains the primary value. After the advanced treatmentprocess had reformed completely, with the influent less than15m3/d, the COD and NH3-N ofthe effluent of the whole process can meet the requirement of the first discharge standard ofintegrated wastewater discharge standard.
