Magnesium alloy was known as the most promising metal materials for21st cen-tury cause of its advantages such as light weight, high specific strength, high specific stiffness, easy recovery et al. By present, domestic and foreign scholars have finished a large number of researches on wrought magnesium alloy sheet forming, due to its poor performance of plasticity forming in low temperature or low velocity forming, cuased by its close-packed hexagonal strcture, most of the studies were carried under hydraulic machine. The main work of this article is to study the stamping formability of wrought magnesium alloy under crank press, in hopes of providing a research help for its in-dus-trial production.This article overviews the current status of research in this field, analyzing the prospect of research and development. On the basis of previous studies, we conduct the following study:Selecting wrought magnesium alloy ME20M, ZE10and AZ31B as the typical rep-resentative.We studied the impact of drawing gap and drawing temperature on sheet forming properties,and obtained the idea forming temperature range of three kinds of sheet material under the crank press. We got the impact degree through the method of analysis of variance.Arranging an orthogonal experiment with four factors and three le-vels, we studied the impact of forming temperature, drawing gap. punch radius and lu-bricating condition on AZ31B drawing performance. We got the optimum forming pa-rameters matching and impact degree of each factor. We also made a research on the in-teraction among the factors by the method of orthogonal experiment. Analyzing the forming method and designing the stamping die to process and form the parts, ac-cord-ing to one type automobile door-lock enhancing plate parts. We analyzed the bending springback of the parts, and summarized the prevention and compensation measures for springback.
