| Cu3Si modified C/C-SiC composites is a tri-matrices composite, that fabricated by Reactive Melt Infiltration,(RMI). The microstructure and the mechanism of forming Cu3Si were investigated by optical microscope, SEM and the energy spectrum. The MM-1000inertia brake tester, QDM150fixed speed test enginery and UMT-3micro frictional tester were used to study the tribological behavior and friction and wear mechanism of the materials in different component, and different experimental conditions. The main contents are as follows:(1) studied the differences of organizational structure between the Cu3Si modified C/C-SiC composites and C/C-SiC composites, and pointed out that two kinds forms of the Cu3Si:small particles and droplet-like, and analyzed the causes.(2) In the form of non-reciprocating friction, researched the friction and wear properties of Cu3Si modified the C/C-SiC composites of different components and different couple parts, the results show that: friction coefficient is lower than the C/C-SiC composites, while the friction process is steadier, and with steel couple parts, the linear wear rate was lower than its with oneself, especiallythe when Cu:Si=1:1,that means Cu3Si played the role of anti-friction and wear-resistance.(3) In the form of reciprocating friction, studied the effect of compenton on friction and wear performance, the results indicated that when the Cu increase, gradually, the friction coefficient decrease, and friction process were more steadier. And with the speed increasing, friction coefficient increased, then decreased, and in the medium speed friction process was steady.(4) reveals the wear mechanism of the Cu3Si modified C/C-SiC friction material, found that:adhesive mechanism and delamination mechanism were in the dominant status, and the influence of abrasive mechanism were relatively weak. |
