Large-scale prototyping and manufacturing equipment is the embodiment of the basis of the country’s manufacturing capacity. It plays an important role in the protection of national security, and it is the steady improvement of the basis of modern national defense construction capabilities. Large forging equipment is a characterization of the comprehensive national strength, as well as the necessary infrastructure of large forging production of aviation and the development of the aviation weaponry and other military equipment.Forging hydraulic press system is an electro-hydraulic coupling of nonlinear systems with a multi-parameter time-varying load. As the hardware makes it difficult for the high experimental costs, resulting in difficult to get the affect law directly from the experimental parameters on system performance, it is difficult to obtain the optimal control parameters through experiment, making it difficult to obtain the required dynamic quality. So we need to carry out a system analysis, optimization and control studies based on simulation software.The main contents are as follows:(1) Establish the simulation model of hydraulic drive system of forging press and conduct an experimental verificationthe for the model. Based on the analysis of the hydraulic system of Y32-315T forging hydraulic press, this paper establishes the system simulation model by system modeling simulation software AMESim. The rationality and validity of the simulation model has been verified through the simulation curve to the sample curve and test curve.(2) Parameters influence analysis and optimization of the hydraulic drive system of forging press. Based on the simulation model, this paper researchs the main factors which affect the dynamic characteristics of the system such as pipe diameter and pipe materials as well as oil parameters by simulation, we proposed several ways to improve the quality of system dynamics, such as the appropriate increase in pipeline diameter and increase the hose in the pipe to reduce hydraulic impact.etc.(3) Dynamic characteristic analysis of the hydraulic drive system of forging press. Based on the linear systems theory and the simulation model, this paper analyzes the step response and impulse response of the system. The result of the simulation shows that the system has a good dynamic quality, and the design of the system is reasonable.(4) The co-simulation study of the control of the hydraulic drive system of forging press. For Large forging hydraulic press is coupling and complexity as well as difficult to control,this paper proposes Model Predictive Control method based on the hydraulic drive system of forging press model. After that,this paper implements the AMESim and Simulink co-simulation-based hydraulic-control scheme. Through the simulation analysis in the typical operating conditions, the results show that the external interference to maintain a good stability, good tracking of the simulation curve and target curve, so this method has good control performance.
