Ti (C, N) particles reinforced ceramic composite materials got the attention of the scientific and technological personnel at home and abroad because of its high strength and high toughness, high temperature resistant, wear-resisting excellent properties, such as. But so far, Ti (C, N) particles reinforced ceramic composite failed to achieve PiLiangHua industrial production, Mainly because now commonly used preparation process---powder metallurgic method, this method’s preparation process complex and it cost too much, Especially it lack of research for industrial production process and quality control, This had restricted its application and development. According to our country’s resources characteristics, This paper research a low cost of new technology, which use45steel, titanium iron, pig iron, etc as the main raw material and use born in situ from costing method to preparated Ti (C, N) iron base composite materials. This technology has a wider range of application significance for the metal matrix composite.This paper has researched Ti (C, N) particles reinforced iron base composite material fabrication process and its organizational performance deeply, and also studied the affix types, content and join way which into nitrogen. Research result shows:1. In atmospheric environment, It is feasible that the technology use in situ reactive method to preparated Ti (C, N) particles reinforced iron base composite by adding nitrogen add-ons with the medium-frequency induction furnace.2. Ti (C, N) particles reinforced iron base composite tissue form with the fine granular and needle pearlite steel substrate and Ti (C, N) enhancing particle composition. This is a kind of typical wear-resisting material organization which have strong toughness good matrix, and in it firmly embedded have hard clays.3. The mechanical properties of materials obtained the optimum combination:Bending strength1363.88(Mpa), Rockwell hardness57.6(HRC), Impact toughness5.8075(J/cm2). when Ti (C, N) particles reinforced iron base composite material composition ratio choose C1.5%, Si2.5%, Mn1.2%, Cr0.5%, Cu1.0%, Ti0.62%, Ti (C, N) powder3%(into nitrogen).4. Ti (C, N) particles reinforced iron base composite abrasive wear resistance performance is better than high manganese steel and high chromium cast iron in the middle and low impact conditions.5. It is better when join Ti (C, N) powder and addition amount to5%in the nitrogen add-ons by the method of water bag into law.
