In recent years, with the development of the laser and optical storage technology, laser cermaics and up-convertion transparent ceramics have more and more attention. Comparing with single crystal, transparent ceramics become a hot research field because of its characteristics of short producing cycle, low cost, high productivity, so transparent ceramics become a hot research field.In this paper, Cr3+:Al2O3and Ti:Al2O3nano-powders were researched nano-powders was prepared by co-precipitation method, the influences of different factors were studied. Prepared transparent ceramics by using the Cr3+:Al2O3nano-powder. By microwave sintering, prepared Yb3+, Er+:Al2O3powder and transparent ceramics.The properties of precursor, nano-powders and transparent ceramics were characterized by XRD, SEM, EDS methods and fluorescence spectrum test.1. Preparation of Cr3+:Al2O3nano-powdersCr3+:Al2O3nano-powders was prepared by co-precipitation method, using NH4HCO3as the precipitant and PH=9, precursor was obtained, the precursor was transformed into Cr3+:Al2O3nano-powders after calcined at1200—1250℃for2h, it has good dispersion property and the particles distributed uniformly with diameter of30—40nm.2. Fabrication of Cr3+:Al2O3transparent ceramics Fabrication of Cr3+:Al2O3transparent ceramics by using the preparaed Cr3+:Al2O3nano-powders.Vacuum sintering in1800℃for10hours, Cr3+:A12O3transparent ceramics were prepared, the optimum doping concentration of Cr3+is1at%, the optimum Pressure is200MPa.3. Microwave sintering Yb3+, Er3+:Al2O3powderMicrowave sintering synthesis Yb+, Er3+:Al2O3powder, The longer the ingredients mixed with the less pure, sample is closer to a single phase, best reaction time should be around30min, the emission spectra of powders is strongest. Er3+doping concentration is1at%and when the concentration of Er3+and Yb3+ratio is1:9, the emitted light has highest intensity.4. Fabrication of Yb3+, Er3+:Al2O3transparent ceramicsFabrication of Yb3+, Er+:Al2O3transparent ceramics by using the preparaed Yb-+Er3+:Al2O3nano-powders.Vacuum sintering in1800℃for10hours, transmitance is above20%.5. Preparation of Ti:Al2O3nano-powdersTi:A12O3nano-powders was synthesized by co-precipitation, when calcined at1200℃for1h, the particle size is small and morphology is spherical, and there is no intermediate phase.(NH4)2SO4play a role of dispersion on precursor, has a significant direct impact on the Ti:Al2O3nano-powder state.
