In recent years, with the rapid development of the automotive industry, homeappliances industry and electronics industry as well as the rapid increase of the level ofconsumption, the speed of product replacement is accelerating, the product life cycles arebecoming shorter and shorter, in the prospective period of time, autos, home appliances andelectronic products will enter a peak of scrap and will produce a lot of waste thermosettingplastics. Other than thermoplastics, thermosetting plastics are difficult to be moltenregeneration, therefore, the rational and efficient recycling of waste thermosetting plastic isvery difficult and concerned about by domestic and foreign research institutions andresearchers.Mechanical physical method is a new recycling technology for waste thermosettingplastic,on the basis of Mechanochemical Process theory, the fundamental solution ofrecycling waste thermosetting plastic by using mechanical physical method was proprosed.According to the established experimental system, take thermosetting phenolic resin widelyused as the object of the study, the waste thermosetting phenolic resins are recycled.Thermosetting phenolic resin regeneration powders in different process conditions arecharacterized by means of scanning electron microscopy and infrared analysis, then studythe degradation mechanism of thermosetting phenolic resin, and establish the function ofevaluating degradation effect.By defining the rules for describing the degradation effect of phenolic resin, during theprocess of recycling waste thermosetting phenolic resin, the effects of speed, time, particlesize and feeding amount on degratation characteristics of thermosetting phenolic resin wereanalysed.By establishing a recovery process model, the process of the phenolic resin recyclingis studied using the Box-Behnken model of Response Surface Method. The multivariateregression equation of every output parameter in the recovery process is obtained, by whichoptimal speed, time, feed particle size, and feed quantity for the thermosetting phenolicresin recycling with mechanical physical method were found and their veracity is validatedby a series of experiments.
